Russia: Land of the Free?
« on: June 22, 2007, 11:55:59 AM »
I thought Russia had a shortage of men, and women were finding it hard to marry, but it seems they have a surplus given these stories.

Russian Army Slavery

'Rent' Boy Soldiers

Pretty hard to imagine anything like that in any other 'democratic' country.
War! Never been so much fun. War! Never been so much fun! Go to your brother, Kill him with your gun, Leave him lying in his uniform, Dying in the sun.

I don't think there are a shortage of men in Russia. The issues are the men tend to treat the women badly. Hence the reason a lot of Russian women look elsewhere for men.

Not to mention China has been caught red handed with industrial slavery many times in the past and even quite recently as in last week.

There is also slavery going on here in the US via the illegal immigrant pool. I'm not talking about Mexicans either it's typically Chinese and Russian mob oriented, but they aren't the only ones.

Salvery seems to be a booming business around the world. It's just people and govts like to turn a blind eye to it.

I don't understand why there is so much shock? Those 'conscripts' are there to serve required two years. In reality they don't do anything or can do anything during their time. If ranking officer feels like using their labor in order to feed them good food, much better than chaw hall, and teach them experience of working, that should be rewarded. Just because he had an accident, that is not fault of that officer but of that soldier. Also, that is a standard practice since beginning of times to utilize help of soldiers and build ‘civilian-military’ relationship.

Sorry, but we are talking about "democratic" countries. We surely aren't one.
