If your death resulted from being shot down, then it will count on the expanded format stats page.  If you die and it wasn't from being shot down then it won't count.

Look at your regular score and look how many deaths you have and then look at the expanded stats page, the deaths won't be the same number as that in the regular score page.

Thats partial true. However it will count on stats page if someone is nearby to get credit for your kill, even if he didnt shoot you. (= proxy).

Most of my HurrIID deaths on expanded stats fall into that category
