Last night I was in a rolling scissors with "SirLoin" in his Yak. We were getting pretty slow over the top, and he kinda "flopped" at the top of a roll, and flopped right into my flight path and I hit him. I don't think he took any damage, but I had engine damage and the fight was over.

I'm sure there is no answer for this, but just something that has been wondered for some years.......

During the huge air fights in europe, britain and central europe.... There was massive amounts of ammo shot, cartridges expelled, shrapnel from flak, rounds from other AA batteries, as well as pieces of planes shot off.

With all that metal going up, gravity rules persist that it also comes down. I wonder how many injuries or deaths came about while walking along the road, then "poof" a piece of metal or expended round comes from the sky and hits you.  The odds might not have been that good you'd get hit, but still the odds would be there.

I don't know why, but have wondered about that when I see footage of the formations and fights.

Just pondering............

ya know..i kinda was wondering that too.....but i was afraid enough putting forth the question i did........but you DO have a good point though :aok
