Hello to all,
Ive been flying for a couple months now and have had a great time.  If i have learned anything in that time its that one needs a wing man to survive. So if there is another "NEWBEE" out there learning the hard way feel free to contact me and lets see if we can better our odds of survival by flying together.

Thanks

YSL116

Howdy YsL116. Glad to see you join our passtime. The first thing to remember, in my humble opinion, is to have fun. You can work your pitooty off all you want and you will need some time to get aclimatized to the game but first and foremost, have fun. The training arena is a good place to pick up some good pointers from the excellent training corps and if you can, join a good squad, one made up of people with interests similar to yours. They can be a great source of help.

Have fun now, ya heah!

My advice is to start drinking heavily. You won't fly any better but at least  you won't remember all of the humiliation.
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

You'll love this game. Way steep learning curve (I'm working my way up it at the mo). Welcome to the addiction, stand by to die a lot (virtually obviously), have fun is the name of the game.......and theres lots of fun to be had in this one...lol....

I'm the worst pilot ingame ya know!!!

It's all unrealistic crap requested by people who want pie in the sky actions performed without an understanding of how things work and who can't grasp reality.

well that's always a good idea, but posting in the o'club, I suggest something a bit heavier, like heroin on top of NyQul, a few shots of Bacardi 151, and  some Sudafed to boot.
I don't know what to put here yet.

Be sure to have a sense of humor.  If someone ho's you laugh it off and get a new plane.  Be as nice as possible and as nasty as necessary.  Keep in mind all it takes is a 'decent' computer and a spare 15 a month.

I pretty much laugh every time I get shot down unless it's in a 1 v 1 situation against one of the really good guys and some dweeb picks me.  Then I take off the headset, go get a beer, and by the time I get back to the keyboard I'm all good again.

Grow a thick skin because there's enough bovine excrement in these forums and on 200 to turn the mojave desert into the worlds top crop producing area.

Welcome aboard.
