Initialization failed

Every time I try to start AH I get a error report

 Initialization with-9MainWILD_FAILED-1


Anybody have any advice.  I have played on this computor before.

post your DXdiag here, well the first third. Don't remember, but it might be a sound issue. You MUST have a sound card, DX9, and a 3d video card set-up in your machine for the game. If any of these 3 have a problem, you'll get that kind of error.

The game cannot find its resources, thus the failure.  If you have ever done a restore point, you will need to reinstall the game as the restore point almost always messes this up.

Or you have moved the game from its original installation folder.  Either move it back, or re-install the game.
