Anyone here use the HOTAS with the FSSB sensors?

A little feedback would be appreciated , as I am ready to order one.

Where from are you ordering?

I know that Realsimulator is selling FSSB mod for Thrustmaster Cougar, but I'm not aware that someone is actually making and selling full FSSB HOTAS.

Its an aftermarket mod only. Unless you are flying F4AF from a dedicated F16 cockpit there is no need to spend so much money just to have a cool joystick. With all the mods and repairs to the Cougar it will be about $800 before you can use it and you can get the full CH setup for less than half of that delivered.
If you like the Sick Puppy Custom Sound Pack the please consider contributing for future updates by sending a months dues to Hitech Creations for account "Chalenge." Every little bit helps.

Actually it is for my cockpit.

Money is no object , my skills are only average, so I need all the help I can get.

I have already gone through 2 of the Cougars , and want to do this one right!!

I think my local store ,"CompUSA" , got a bad batch of them, maybe without the greased gimbals.

I am on my second one, in 6 months. After a while they get about an inch of play , and it becomes VERY difficult to to make fine articulated movements.

 It is kind of frustrating.

I recieved my FSSB2 from Realsimulator.com  , and installed it in about 20minutes.

It only took 2 days to arrive , from Europe, not bad.

For those of you who dont know , this thing is NICE !!

The joystick has zero movement , and I do not mean play/gap.

It is as stiff as a brick, the stick DOES NOT MOVE at all. The FSSB senses your very slight hand pressure and moves electronicly.

Of course , the sensitivity is user adjustable , but it is very precise. You can put a piece of paper under one of the joystick feet , and it will sense it!

Pretty cool stuff. I am still getting used to it , recalibrating etc.

 Anyone else use it here?

I use the U2 NXT and Hall sensors in the Cougar.  You won't wear one of these out.  The hall sensors do not rely on contact, it senses using a magnetic field.  The NXT has bearings on moving parts and is well built.  It's a nice smooth feel.  Here is what I have:
