Iran full of moderates?
« on: October 05, 2007, 02:27:59 PM »
I was almost willing to believe some who have posted here claiming Amadmanjihad was not a typical Iranian. No longer.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,299603,00.html

"The demonstrations for "Al-Quds Day" — Al-Quds is the Arabic name for Jerusalem — also spilled over into anti-American protests because of U.S. support for Israel.

In the capital Tehran, hundreds of thousands of people poured into the streets as they chanted "Death to America" and "Death to Israel." Some protesters also burned American and Israeli flags."

Well, they are only moderately angry. When they get really angry, they build nukes.

I remember it well also. However, people can change and some have claimed that the average Iranian wants peace and possibly a more western lifestyle. Sounded plausible. "Hundreds of thousands" in the streets shouting for our deaths denies that plausibility. No good will come from this. Well, unless we take it as a wakeup call.

You just don't understand them because you're an Amreekan.

Found a good documentary about Saudi Arabia and it's modern history.

Good info.

Another about everyday Iranians.

More good info.

Interesting Dadano. I watched for a bit and will watch the rest later. All that western dress for the men makes me almost believe they are like us. As a Christian I can appreciate their zeal for God. Israel is the crucial difference. It seems they will never allow Israel to exist in peace while Christians will always oppose those who would destroy the race/nation of Christ. While this opposition has endured for millennia, I think that with ever proliferating technology we will see a final resolution within 30 years.

Yea, I got a very promising feeling out of the doc on Iran. The Saudi film sets up the Israeli/Arab conflict nicely. Take a look.

Uh yeah......Amadmanjihad is one of them. I can't remember the guys name but when this whack job became president of Iran one of the hostages was on all the news channels telling everyone who would listen that Amadmanjihad was one of the ring leaders during the hostage crisis. A bunch of the other hostages backed up this claim.

That guy is going to start WWIII. Him and Kim Jong-Il
