Just upped a bomber for the first time this month and noticed the zoom
function didn't work from this position, is this a new feature?

I believe you have to use your brackets first? [ and ]

That doesn't work either, but the zoom works from the pilot position.

I use the zoom button all the time in the bomb sight... must be ur comp.

Thanks, that was it. I had just got a X52 and programed the zoom into the
throttle slider, which caused it to work only fom the pilot's position.
Programed it back to the keyboard and it works ok.
