Could be but that's presumptive. ;)

But if I'm to make a presumption of my own:

I'd say the former lives in it's comfort zone (closet) because, well hey, that's how hypocricy works, and excercises strict control of the  lingerie ... while the other freely uses the rest of the house, enjoying more use of the HD TV, internet and fridge but becomes angered if the closeted "conservative" hypocrit does something stupid to out itself because neither feels confident enough to brag about their relationship with each other to the public.

Let's jump to a conclusion: They are both becoming one and the same;

And it applies' to all facets of what they do, morally, and politically.

If things' like this are not proof that we need a third party in American politics, I don't know what will be. It's high time we had something to break the power-grip of what we have now-Two parties that fight in public, but underneath actually seem to share the same agenda.

For an example: The Dems' (at least, a few of them like Fienstein and Boxer and Brady) Come out openly for gun control. They set laws in place that flaunt the 2nd. However, when the time comes, and the GOP has eight years' in which to do it, what happens? They allow a ban to sunset, but don't go out of their way to roll anything back. Illegal immigration? Nothing's changed on that issue for 16 years, except for the majority's in Congress, and the party hack that's in the White house. Oh, and they're spoken rhetoric, almost left that out.

I am disgusted by this crap... This is another case of a RINO being called a conservative Republican...  Same for GWB, GHWB, Sen. Graham, Frist... the list goes on and on and on...

I say all parties have failed us all miserably and have sold out to the K-Street and Wall Street dollars.

Time to reclaim our country, our constitution and everything good they have always represented.

It is said that 4% of all men are gay.

If ya go by that statistic, then 4 of every hundred conservative Republican men are gay.

Thus, when a conservative Republican man gets caught, it really doesn't surprise me.

And what better place for gay men to hide from society than the conservative Republican Party?
Who would suspect? lol It may be higher that 4% just on that alone.

I have heard that overt aggressive gay bashing is frequently done by gay men who are in the closet and do so just to take attention off themselves.

So when I see or hear guys bashing gay guys, I have to chuckle thinking wouldn't it be funny if they were all closeted gay men who didn't know the others were also closeted gay and there they are... gleefully bashing each other and slapping each other on the back in agreement without realizing it!

the only difference between a secretly gay Republican and a secretly gay Democrat is that the Democrat gets applause when he admits to molesting 17-year-old males from the same people who would lynch the Republican for sending homo erotic text messages to underage males.

I'm sorry, could you please show me a link to a gay Democrat getting applause for molesting a teenager? I must have missed that one.

I guess Teddy Kennedy counts
Quote
As the first openly gay member of Congress, he was a trailblazer for gay rights, and I admired him all the more.  It was a great joy for all of us that, after so many years of fighting the good fight, our Commonwealth saw the light, and Gerry and Dean were able to affirm their love for each other in the full majesty of the law of our Commonwealth.

        I’ll always miss Gerry’s courage and compassion and leadership.  I’ll never forget our wonderful rallies on Cape Cod on Monday evenings before election day, and the good times we spent together sailing on the Cape’s waters on my boat Mya and his beloved Bacalhou.

        All of us who love the Cape owe an enormous debt to the incomparable Gerry Studds.  As the poet wrote,

               I must go down to the seas again, to the
                       Lonely sea and the sky,
               And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer
                       Her by;
               And the wheel’s kick and the wind’s song and
                       The white sail’s shaking,
               And a grey mist on the sea’s face, and a grey
                       Dawn breaking.

               I must go down to the seas again, for the call
                       Of the running tide
               Is a wild call and a clear call that may not be
                       Denied;
               And all I ask is a windy day with the white
                       Clouds flying,
               And the flung spray and the blown spume, and
                       The sea-gulls crying.
               I must go down to the seas again, to the
                       Vagrant gypsy life,
               To the gull’s way and the whale’s way, where
                       The wind’s like a whetted knife;
               And all I ask is a merry yarn from a laughing
                       Fellow-rover,
               And quiet sleep and a sweet dream when the
                       Long trick’s over.

        May God grant you that quiet sleep and sweet dream you’ve earned so well, Gerry.
...seemed like such a nice guy....(aside from the fact he banged a 17 year old boy where the sun doesnt shine) link

I don't think a Congressional censure (by a vote of 420-3) or a eulogy constitues applause.
Nice try.

Well ... it's a theory, anyway. The only proven in the above statement, to date, is the Republican part. The rest seems rationalization. ;) :aok

I think anyone who gets toooooo  upset about homos has got some problems.

it is healthy to look away and get disgusted..  it is unhealthy to make a crusade out of trying to stop em.
