Is it worth the money getting this . how much will it help with your connection lag and latency i need to know.has anyone ever tried are has one let me know.

Both are a complete waste of money.

Lag & latency problems in Ah2 are possible for two different reasons:

- Something's happening with you signals on the way to HTC. A conection issue. Those cards can't help you.

- Your own computer has some issues. A bad setup, too many processes, running out of resources, you name it. Most of that problems can be fixed quite easily without throwing you dollars out of the window for some phoney geek stuff. Thinks that can't be fixed with some more ram or tapering with software setting can't be helped by this stuff either.

If you really have lag or other problems (warping, freezing), describe the exact nature of the problem and attach a dxdiag output, then post it in "technical help" forum.

If you don't have any problems like that at all, those cards won't improve your AH2 gaming experience either. Even if they actually can reduce your latency by a few ms, you wouldn't even notice in this game.

LOL, i remember when this product first came out. Back when I was heavy into the competitive FPS scene. Bottomline, its a total waste of money. The biggest influence you're going to have on your latency is your ISP, and your route to the server being used.

Yup total snake oil.

You're much better off making sure you have a decent network setup (ie a router/firewall thats up to spec - most home/soho units are pretty slow, and a good switch with good cabling).

I have just installed a new router and found that I could speed up the connection with Port Forwarding. But I need the IP address for the game. Does anyone know the IP by any chance?

I set up my router so that it forwards a public IP straight to my gaming computers while WLAN and office are behind NAT. Works nicely.

The cheap routers sometimes even crash to icmp/udp.

Sounds like a pretty crappy router tbh. Although this is not uncommon, most net connections are being run on way underspec'd routers these days.

There are routers, then there are switches....

Switches are cheap. They just connect many cables into 1 hub. Routers have DHCP and other things built into them (processing power actually built into the device) and do handy stuff. They also cost 2-3x what switches cost.

If it cost $20, it's a cheap POS switch.

If it cost $60-120, it was a router.
