Hummmm What is the issue
« on: January 18, 2008, 10:54:35 AM »
OK, Found this story on the AP. I have been looking at it and there is something wrong with it. Not that it took so long for his family to ge the decorations, but something else stands out.

Do any of you see it?

The article never loaded when I clicked the link, can you paste it?
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

My guess is the title..

WWII Victim's Daughter Gets His Medals

I would think 'victim' isn't quite right.

'Serviceman'
'Fallen Soldier'

something other than 'victim'.

Talking with the rest of the Vets here "Victim" in not right.

Just bothered me alot. That would make me a US Military disabled victim.

Nope. Not me.

My father-in-law earned the Bronze Star in late 1944 after having dragged multiple wounded to saftey under extremely heavy fire as an army corpsman.

He just got the actual medal & display case last year.
