lol Houston Grand Prix race won't happen this year because some frenchies bought out the race.

Grand Prix of Houston Cancelled for 2008
The Grand Prix of Houston announced today that the 2008 event, originally scheduled for April 25-27 at Reliant Park, has been cancelled. Grand Prix officials made the determination that after the unexpected unification of the Champ Car World Series and Indy Racing League and the resulting exclusion of Houston from the schedule, it was not possible to stage the event in 2008. However, Grand Prix officials are already in discussions about the possibility of holding the Grand Prix of Houston in 2009 with the American Le Mans Series and Indy Racing League.

Happy now? Made your day?

Maybe.  I compared apples to oranges (which is relatively easy thing to do) a few months ago, so this was duck soup.  (which I can compare to dirigible airships if you wish)

That would be incorrect ye of little knowledge. That is top race speed (overall average start to finish) and lap speed (average). They reach top speed of over 200mph going into turns 1 and 3. TMS is one of the fastest tracks on the circuit. They even considered making it a restrictor plate track because of the speed the cars reached.source

Didn't Indy cars race there a few years back and stopped because the track was too fast?  I seem to remember the drivers saying there were beginning to black out or gray out entering the turns.

indy cars still race there in the summer  , june i think along with the truck race.
when that happened they had to change the depth of the entrances into the corners the drivers were graying as they went into the turns from pos. g's during the transition :aok

You're seats aren't far from ours. We are across from the infield care center at the entrance to pit road.
