thats not a helpful answer though is it? there are usually only 2 arenas with more than 10 players, and often they both have the same map. who wants to fly around an empty arena?

Its empty cause people see its empty and don't go in. Had they gone in and spent 5 mins in the "empty" arena, 10 others who also didn't like the same maps, would have also logged in. You may not get your uber LW rides though. But its just as much fun duking it out in the oldies.

EW arena was the most populated one for more than one week after the arena split with LW being almost empty. The people started to leave in droves. Must have been for other reasons than only numbers

Also the EW is currently a mess. logging on and seeing 2 or three squads on bish side resetting a otherways empty arena is not very motivating for the individual pilot. Either fly with the horde, be overwhelmed by it or (if they can't do this) see how they all at once attack the country you are not flying for...

we dont need new maps there are butt loads of them on the terrains page.

I would like to see the rotations jazzed up a little.  Throw in some old ones and all the newer players will be like

"whoa!! new map WTFG HTC!!"

Thats the only explanation aside from technical ones I can think of as to why they dont use more of them.  Everyone got sick and tired of baltic and the other small maps and asked for the big maps back.  Now they are getting bored of the big ones and ask for something else.

I guess Hitech wants to keep us guessing.

the other answer is.  Find the terrain editor and get making one yourself if your that desperate/bored/nothing else to do time on your hands.

Actually the EWA right after the Arena split had the MOST numbers.   Then a bunch of us got tired of Hurricane Mk II's and went to the MW, then to the LWA's.

How about someone but me make new maps for the MA? I tried the terrain editor thing, it's wierd, I'm not too good at it.
