Check Six 03/25/01
« on: March 25, 2001, 05:22:00 PM »
Arriving early to catch a Tiff found me in a CO slot.  Having been involved in WBs for the last few years, there is much new andto learn in AH.  The flight that was assigned to me was patient and did a great job.  Aztec, Hamrdas,Starbird, Roverex, Vlas and all the rest of you guys <S>.

The other side of this coin is that it is impposible to communicate all of the information needed to the people involved.  Suggestion is to have more info available before the pilots enter the arena.  Understood that too much information can give away strategies, but when you have people falling over one another for the basics the result is just as defeating.  My apologies to those that wanted answers to their questions, but there was no way to get to them all since they would vanish in the buffers while trying to type out orders for three missions along with assignments.

That was the best afternoon I have ever spent on-line, but it needs to get organised prior to flight times and assignments.  Please consider me to help out anyway you might need me.

Hi Hening!  First of all, thanks for flying in the event today.  I hope that despite your FL burden you had a good time.

All the necessary info was available at the event website (http://www.hut.fi/~vpitkane/LLv34/AH/desert/) and in the pop-up welcome message once you entered the SEA.

As a CO or FL, you have the freedom to do whatever you wish within the set rules of the event.  It is recommended of course, that you try to score as many points for your country.

The first times are always hard. Now you've broken the ice, next time will be much easier.

Best regards,

Hi Hening!

Glad you had fun for the most part!
We are always looking for C.O.'s for our Snapshots and Check 6! events and if you ever want to let us know. I just started posting on Mondays or Tuesdays asking for C.O. for these events. It is so much easier if we get them in advance. At times it is like pulling teeth to get one.

Welcome to Aces High. I was also in WB for years but came over with our squad about a year ago. Hope you stick around. We are glad we did.

Thx for the lead Hening...it certainly is a handful, particularly with the check 6 events. The goals are more ambitious and the battlefront larger so there is much info to convey.

<S> to you for taking on this difficult task.
