Vox voice effect adjustment
« on: April 20, 2008, 08:28:28 PM »
Vox adjustments in-game allowing me to adjust incoming "squeaker" to "John Wayne" or at least "Ben Affleck."

For immersion war movie sake only.

the other day there was so much yarbling on range i wanted it muted.

I found what i think to be a slight error in the voice slider.  I wanted to turn down the range vox so i couldnt hear it.  Easily enough done switch it to the left on the slider. That worked but everytime someone transmitted it toned down my engine noise.  The 3rd bottom slider is something like effect volume.  I moved this one to the left and it made the transmit thing louder.  I put the slider all the war to the right and it worked.

In short the effect volume I believe is the wrong way around.

Arlo,

 Do you have a graphic equalizer for your soundcard,onboard sound???
 If yes just move any sliders above 1.5k hz into the negative like -5 db
that should make most high pitched vox quite,you may have to experament{sp}
 with both frequency and -db. :devil

Effect Volume is designed to lower the external sounds when a VOX transmission is taking place so that you can hear it over the engines and such.

Few weeks ago a guy had someone mess with his soundcard and his VOX was shifted into sounding like Donald Duck. Was hilarious. :D
