79th FG Recruiting
« on: May 23, 2008, 10:38:09 AM »

There is one HQ squad and three flying squadrons. As of now there are three airframes that we fly as a team during squad nights, they are:

P-38
P-51D
P-47D

Squad nights are mandatory for the first four weeks for every member of our FG. After the four week trial period you are allowed to miss a few squad nights a month, remember there will only be four squad nights a month.

* With that being said, if you miss more than three squad nights without letting your CO know you will go back on a trial period. *

I know, I know this is just a game, and you're 100% right this is just a game; if you're at the point of joining a squad then you have made the decision to share our passion for WWII period flight simulators. ;)

We're not just looking for seasoned veterans to join the squadron but individuals who are willing to put in the time and effort to become good sticks. If you are willing to devote some time to team sessions and tactics lessons I would be more than happy to accommodate you, keep in mind though that a certain level of adaptation and progression will be demanded of you but also remember that we are here to have fun in the end.

Unless you are an absolute waste of time and a complete oxygen thief you shouldn't have to much to worry about. We want to become a well tuned "team based" fighting machine and if that sounds like something you would like to be a part of feel free to inquire.

I hope you liked what you read and I was not to brash. We hope to see you become a member of our family and help us rule the skies of Aces High II!

Well this is embarrassing, isn't it? The title is supposed to read "78th FG Recruiting" and not "79th Recruiting". Sorry for the mix up, I have asked that a moderator delete this thread so that I may create a new one, he/she can also just re-title this one to read "78th FG Recruiting". That would help out a bunch.

For anyone interested in joining:

We are indeed still searching for new members, it does not matter the skill level as we are not all that great nor are we all that horrible. We are decent pilots and are looking for pilots of the same skill to join us. I have also created a universal user for those that are interested in joining but do not want to register at the moment.

The user name is: Guest and the password is: aceshigh

I'll second that sentiment.  Good to see another P-38 oriented squadron in the game.

I PM'd Skuzzy and Waffle about this issue, I hope that they get it fixed soon  :pray

We have just recently added the P-38 to our plane list. We were flying late war Birds from the 78th FG but realized that the P-38G while being a flying bathtub and a slow target was a lot of fun and very efficient in it's roll as an attack aircraft. I just need to sit down and paint up a 78th FG skin for the darned thing  ;)

I found some interesting documents that were unclassified in between 1950 and 1980. I have them posted on my gallery pages. very good reading material.

Thanks for the support guys.
