Results from the Snapshot "Revenge of Yamamoto"

We ended up flying 3 frames because the CM (me) was not thinking straight and started one early.  I blame it on the flu and a temp of 101.  I felt it only right I stay long enough to start 3rd frame which would normally would have been the 2nd frame.  My apology if this cause anyone problems.

1st Frame
Attendance:
IJN 9 Pilots
American 8 Pilots

IJN victory by the skin of their teeth.  General MacArthur was rolling to a stop when one of the remaining A6M's dove and killed him on the runway.  Kill of the General goes to Wilbus. Corwin was flying as General MacArthur.

2nd Frame
Attendance:
IJN 18
American 12

IJN victory, again the B-26 with General MacArthur was landing and was shot down by one of the remaining A6M's. Credit of the kill again goes to Wilbus!  Saw was flying as General MacArthur who was chased for over 20 miles and caught as he was landing.

3rd Frame
Attendance:
IJN 7
Americans 6

American Victory.  The IJN force were all shot down and both B-26's landed safely. Naso was the General in this frame and from what I understand he never even woke up from his nap during the ride.

Thanks to all who participated.  Please post any comments or suggestions here.

Everyone already knows the definition of a 'good' landing is one from which you can walk away. But very few know the definition of a 'great landing.' It's one after which you can use the airplane another time.

Was very nice, as usual

Aye, I only ended CO in the 1st frame because I was in there 1 hour before the Event <g>. I appologise for my early Disco, which made me take off 25 Miles on the tail of my squaddies

I finaly arrived to the Field where the General was supposed to land...right on time to get into Enemy ack at aproximately 250 IAS at 500 ft... you do the math. All I'll say is "pingpingpingcrack!"

We were pretty tight on Timing, but I was glad when I heard that the 2nd flight made it to the remaining B26 (2nd Flight was led by Ah1G while  1st flight was led by Lacey... I was only there for the show!)

2Nd Part, Lacey & I moved to the US Side as Grunts...& finaly ended being Mr McArthur himself <insert ego boost here>. We went in Nap of the Earth right behind Gie (His B26 was a bulky C47 loaded with NO AMMO     ). I was trying to avoid having Lacey drink all my Booze while flying NOE & dodging "honourable bowls of rice" chasin' us all the way...

Again, on landing...."pingpingpingcrack" .... WILBUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUS!!!!!!!!!

Fun Event, I will be there next Week end

As always was very funny, as a IJN pilot in the 2nd frame i manage to reach the b26s while on landing, and i wish to share the pride of the action 'cause, while Wilbus was Pingpingcraking the general's ride, i was eveporating in a kamikaze attempt to drive off ack fire.

For glory of Emperor!! Banzai!!

In the 3rd frame, i was general's pilot and the great pilots escorting me (<S>!) keep the japaneese out of my tail, while jimbear in his b26 was close to my six offering cover with his body (hero!  ).
NOE? Man, i was sometime under 100 feet to ground, with strange wool clouds erupting from my propellers  .

And you know?
Gen. Mac is a great poker player, and a class act too, he leave me my boxers.

uhmm, have you some coin?
please?
