Another example of uncommon valor.  :salute
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

I didn't think anything needed to be said after you read the article the link sent you to. This is the description of a Medal of Honor winner and 1 of only 2 non-combatant soldiers/concientious objectors to ever receive them. Also if you ever get the chance to watch the biography of him it will blow you away.

Good post. Was censored of course, what a shocker.

Wow.  I dunno how I'd react under such circumstances but this guy showed the utmost bravery. In the face of all that fear he performed so heroically.  Amazing man.

I forgot you had to post a description of what your talking about. I only put the link and a salute after it at first so my bad on that one. I don't think skuzzy checks the links, just the overall post on the board, not positive on that though. Oh well i managed to fix my mistake and it's still a pretty interesting read. :aok
