True.  Didn't intend to demean the other folks war effort.  Just that we laid the first eggs in the opening salvo.

The JG11-led 190F raid met fine success without 2-1 odds in our favor.


The one P51 that came to intercept us was quickly dispatched.


And, here, we have our greatest weapon. As you can see, the American crew of this B17 is not firing (the radiator damage came from a past engagement). I attribute this to one of two things; either the American crew was intimidated by the 30mm spud gun, or they were just sitting, staring, in awe of the sexiness of Axis fighters.


I was very impressed with the cooperation from non-JG11 Axis pilots. In truth, only 3 of the 8 a/c of that raid were flown by JG11, the rest being flown by volunteers from other squads. Good work, men. <S>
