What if they didn't actually add another channel but instead added volume sliders for primary and secondary range channels.
The way it would work is if your flying, then aircraft are primary, and if your gv'ing then well gv's are primary. So now when your flying you could lower the gv volume to whatever you want and vica versa.
Also, primary would take precedent over secondary when two people are yelling at the same time. So if you're flying when a gv guy, and your wingman are trying to speak at the same time, the gv guy's vox gets clipped.
