On the rare chance that my power supply does go out, what would you recommend I replace it with?  Also, the computer has two fans.
Spend atleast $120 or so.  You'll want something with good amount of amps on the 12V rails to allow you to upgrade in the future without many headaches.

PC Power & Cooling, Seasonic, Corsair (made by Seasonic) are some of the top brands.  Thermaltake isn't too bad.  Antec's are pretty questionable nowdays.

My concern is that newegg apparently will not carry that companies products anymore. From the reviews I read it seems that a pretty high % of units failed within the 1st few months...a PS failure can literally fry your entire system. As for a replacement I wouldnt put a $ amount per se. I got a great PC power and cooling PS for $80 on special (list was $150). In addition to the brands fulmar mentioned i'd add OCZ...

Just browsing newegg here is a good OCZ PS for $90 after all sale/rebates

Got my new computer.  Runs GREAT!  Super fast, and super cool (running at 89.7 degrees at the moment).
