Subject says a lot I think. I calibrated in windows, I calibrated in the
game itself, changed scaling to everything I could think off, still it's
(see subject). Every time I pull the stick more then 10% I spin in. I
get outturned by every plane. Flaps are retracted, wheels are in and speed can be anywhere between 100 and 300, doesn't matter. Any pointers here or do I have to admit I
suck? (could be that I'm accustomed to RB2 of course)

1. Dont use flaps.. err.. i mean air brakes..
2. Pull stick gently, dont pull that 10% within 1 millisecond
3. Remember that your enemy has same problems
4. Pick another plane

I had the same problems with my CH Products flight gears at first. It to dang touchy.
I just kept down scaling. finally found a happy medium.
Oh yeah, when diving out, you need to cut throttle & use flaps to prevent lawn darting if you dive more than 3-4k.

Mr.Ed, you forgot to mention using trims when diving, its very important to use trims

Oh yeah, lots O'trim!

I have my ele & ail on a hat switch that my left thumb rest on. Hey I can't get the rudder trim (a&s) to work at all. I figued my pony either didn't have it, or I go over 200kias and it dont work anyhow. Well guess what it don't work sitting on the tarmac during pre-flight.
Any Ideas?

Hate to say it, but...fly a Spit (aaaaggghh!) Like we need another Spit in the arena

But it IS the most forgiving plane.  You should be able to basically turn fairly sharply against any other plane and not fall out of the sky.  If you STILL fall out of the sky, then either a) you DO suck, or b) your stick isn't set up right.

Make sure your stick is calibrated properly in Windows, and in the game.  Adjust your joystick sensitivity sliders down at the left side of the curves, so that initial pull doesn't give you full control deflection.  Then try adjusting the dampeners up a bit to make sure your stick isn't spiking.

If that doesn't work, either your joystick is just too twitchy for the game, or you're really hamfisting the plane too much.  Try pulling only 3Gs or less while flying.  Pull off your target any time you're pulling over 3G and climb.  (Just do that until you start to get a feel for how hard you're pulling).  If you're constantly pulling 5 or 6 G, and you're flying the 190, you're gonna snap roll a lot.

Fishu: don't use flaps ??

You can  turn with almost every other plane in the arena if you use flaps on the F4U. you just have to use 'em correctly!

Below speeds of 200-180 pop 1 notch of flaps, and keep yer nose down .. if you go through a loop pop 1 or even 2 notches to help it coming over the top of the loop.

I can hardly think of fighting slow without flaps ...

AKOkkie: Hyas Mate ! Depending on plane, speeds below 150 can hardly be regarded as flying speed, around 100 you're defintely in the NO-NO zone. try to keep your fights above 200, at least in the less manouverable planes like F4U, P51 and FW190

Cyas UP there !
