It's the war thing Humble. This was the first time it has been run in this format. Yes there were decidely few late war German rides on the front line bases. The CO for each side purchased aircraft based on his sides batle plan. Like I said this is the first time in this format, all kinds of things to work out yet. Keep trying the folks running the thing are making improvements.

It was the lack of any true "fighter" (I dont see the 110 or 190A/F8 as a fighter) being generally available that got me the most. I certainly recognize its a "work in progress". IMO I'd view FSO as your role model for gameplay. Obviously you cant get the organization but some of it is applicable. As an example i'd have 1 or 2 airstarts (as much as I hate them) centered around primary strategic targets so you can always mount a CAP. I would use the perk system to control aircraft (if this is feasible) by giving all players 100 perkies (example) then setting perk values as appropriate. Make your baseline planes available widely or everywhere and limit "perk rides" by both perks and location.

As I see it right now offense is a cake walk and defense is close to impossible, which is the opposite of how it should be IMO.

You're one of the old guard, your opinions are valued and, more to the point, expected.

Hey, I'm one of the "old guard". Is my opinion valued and expected? Seems only the correct opinion is valued these days and I'm quite sure mine is wrong. I expect I'll just keep it to myself.

Funny how this turned into such a heated argument when VansCrew asked a question COMPLETELY unrelated to this haha :lol

My bad, his writing is similar to yours.

Buster I thought had something to do with your new squad name.
