Brief description of what you guys can get out of this post:
Many users have various problems running aces high as far as disconnects, freezes, low frame rates ect.... I will give some tips on running aces high and your computer better than ever. Some have old computers that may have low memory, low video capabilities and just plain old computers that are not tuned up to get max performance. Some have new computers that are not tuned and do not know how to get max performance out of it.
If you have an old computer, you may want to trash it and upgrade to a new duo core computer. They are pretty reasonable and new technology really requires new computers. If you cannot read on.
Read Skuzzy's hints and tips they really do work rather well.
HARDWARE IMPROVEMENTS:
1.The easiest is adding more ram.
Some run at 512m of ram and by adding another 512 will be quite and improvement. Remember, Ram needs to be matched. So, if you add more ram you will have to buy 2 x 512m of the same kind unless you can match the existing Ram
2. New video card. Some of you run onboard video and adding a video card will be quite an improvement. There are basic types of video cards AGP and PCI express. Old single core computers will run AGP and New multi core computers will run PCI express.

PCI express cards are somewhat inexpensive also. NVIDEA 9600 cards and ATI 3870/4870 can be found for around $200 and these cards are really insane fast compared to old technology. There is 512m and 1G cards which are twice the $(1G). Older PCIE Cards can be bought for around $100
Adding more ram and/or a video card may not be your easiest and cheapest solution. READ SKUZZY'S HINTS AND TIPS FIRST then use these easy solutions.
DRDEATHX COMPUTER TIPS:LIKE TUNING UP AN AUTOMOBILE. If you leave the old spark plugs in forever the car will not run well and eventually not start or stall.
1. DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL ENDITALL.
End it all is free software that ends all unnecessary programs that run in your background. For example, you install a soundcard and install the software. When you start your computer, the software will usually automatically run in the background unless you disable it. Skuzzy's hints and tips will show you how to manually disable your processes but they will not restart automatically when you reboot next time.
ENDITALL will end these unnecessary processes but when you reboot, they will restart as usual so If you want some of them you may want to use this program. Here is the link:

Defragment compacts your files on your hard drive. These files get spaced out as you download things. Defrag'ing compacts your files and frees up valuable hard drive space.
3. DELETE WHAT YOU DO NOT NEED OFF YOUR DESK TOP.
When running a game, your desktop icons will take video memory even though you do not see your desktop. Especially if you run onboard video or have a real old computer. If your desktop is full of unused shortcuts and useless files they need to either be deleted or create a folder on your desktop called for instance desktop 2 and drag these items in the folder.
4. DO NOT USE A SCREEN SAVER OR BACKGROUND PICTURE ON YOUR DESKTOP
This will also use valuable video memory and resources that will help you game. Right click on your desktop, click properties, you will see display properties window. Go to desktop and select none.
5. DISABLE YOUR ANTI-VIRUS WHEN GAMING.
You do not need anti- virus software when you game. You may be having a second firewall enabled with your anti-virus and may cause more disconnect problems. Aces High server has to make it through windows firewall and your av firewall to communicate. If you want your av firewall to run when you don't game you need to re-enable it when your finished. Windows firewall is sufficient to run your computer but some prefer 2 firewalls.

7. TURN YOUR OBJECT DETAIL IN ACES HIGH DOWN.
Getting lag in tree areas? Turn your object detail down (>>>>faster instead of detail)
8. CLEAN OUT ALL UNUSED SOFTWARE AND DELETE UNUSED FILES.
Spend an evening deleting your old files you do not need and uninstall any stupid software you may have downloaded in the past. THIS IS USING VALUABLE DISK SPACE AND WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR COMPUTER!
