Yes, well some people (i.e. me when I have a bit of time on my hands) would take break, and fly in our PBYs to places where pilots would soon bail out, and wait.
And what stops you from being killed while sitting in the water in a combat zone?

i agree with RC, lets put more emphasis on staying alive, and accomplishing objectives. that is why fso is so fun, you get one plane, and everyone is a lot more cautious.

maybe a 3  to 5 minute time out if you die...? but if you get rescued you get up again? idk something

I agree with the pilot rescue idea, will give the supp runners another aspect in the game.  Got to give the guy credit, hes thinking out of the box.

Personally I would fly in behind the lines, or over the water, to pick up a squadie, as would most.

Because an arena full of people who run from everything unless they have a massive advantage is a good thing?

In reality, where the stakes were far higher, people had real reasons to fight, even from a disadvantage.  In AH there are no such reasons and thus you'd have an arena full of people flying only the fastest fighters "realistically" by running from anything that wasn't at a heavy disadvantage to them.  The climbout and flight back to the fight is already enough downtime and adding another 3-5 minutes, or even 30 seconds is completely unnecessary.

im talking about killing the same guy over and over again when you try to take a base. sometimes one guy can mess up a mission if you're undermanned.

also would eliminate suicide bombing.

its not all about furballin

I agree with Ghost. This wasn't made JUST for furballing, its was made for civilians to see what it was like flying in a P51,A6M,etc.Not just for furballing.

Well actually,
I think this game (in its original incarnation) was an all furball game...
I wasn't around back then, which is good, because I would have just gotten bored...
Blew it off as childish... No purpose, but to endlessly pull somebody's tail feathers...

Some are satisfied with that... Thats cool too....

When they started with the GV's, it opened a whole new world for the game...
And every update, the game just gets better...
More vehicles, more planes.... more targets....

I'm really seeking a new twist for the game...
New evolution, new missions, new situations, new twists in gameplay...
Because the standard patterns of gameplay, are sooo well known...
That the game is getting a little stagnant....

A new tank, or plane, won't change that...
So a little shake up, would be good.... It doesn't have to be earth shattering...

Again, ask yourself how the community attitude would change. A newer player who has no idea of how the, "honor code," works gets shot down. Now, would you hear him saying, "If somebody is nearby could you please pick me up? If nobody is nearby I'll simply ditch, just wondering." Or would you hear, "SOMEBODY PICK ME UP! I JUST GOT SHOT DOWN!!!! OMG! DAS ENEMIES IS COMING!!!! OMG PEOPLE, DON'T FLY AWAY! THIS IS AN EMERGENCY!!!!! I H@S 3 PERKS!"

Now, which is more likely to occur?

These are some really cool ideas guys.  For those looking to do more than furball, come give the 173rd Guardian Angels a look.  Ok, Ok, Sorry for the cheap azzed plug by I just had to! :lol  :D  ;)

Having said that, in our squad we would LOVE to have the ability to be able to rescue our fellow squadies and save his perks, and kills!

How bout this too fellas.  If you were downed over an enemy base, maybe they could add in a Radar Control Box somewhere on the field.  Maybe it would be in different rooms, or hangars in random.

If you make it there you could shut the radar down for a whole hour with hits from your side arm or something like that.  Something to do while you wait for your rescue.   Maybe they could make a few hiding spots where you cannot be seen.

While wishing big here, it would be neat if there were more ways to use sabotage towards strats, bases, and CVs. :noid
