Yassir .. BMW's are nice.

Local Mercedes guy says if you like twisties, go BMW ..if you like to cruise, Mercedes it.

Personally .. I don't need or want a 4-door.
Been there, done that .. I don't get asked for airport runs anymore,
..no one wants to borrow the vehicle to help move, and so on and so on :)
I lak dat.

The C-5 Vette is a world beater.
Kinda cracks me up when people comment outta the blue here an there when they see the car.
Common comment is it must have cost a fortune .. LOL
.. the other I get asked a lot is what mileage it gets.
I've had people tell me I'm a liar ..they dont beleive it.
-shrug-
I could take video's, pictures, whatever ..I guess I am just a bit beyond carin what others think.
Guy in our local club drove his 2003 Z06 (500+hp..11 sec car, *not* stock) to the Z06 fest just recently.
1500 miles there an back, averaging just under 30mpg on the freeway all the way there. He cruises at 80.
Mine gets a hair over 30mph at 70. The computer says I get about 24mpg average around town (when I bother to check)

It's a Z-51, so the ride is a bit harsh ..really follows the road and if it's bumpy, it's bumpy :)
However . . if I kick it out in back into a corner, let off a bit into the apex, then roll on the gas comin out ..
..it's so nuetral the throttle controls understeer, oversteer, that I felt completely at home at insane speeds in some 25mph posted twisties awhile ago :)

I have a date with a track day as soon as I can set it up financially .. the club gets together with the exotics now an then and has a bit of fun at a local race track (Firebird or PIR).

Frankly .. it was an experiment. I didn't know if wife and I would like a Vette.
I am fallin in love with it. It does so many things amazingly well.

Not the least of which is.. I can wear my hat without bumpin into anything, heck even my helmet when I take it out to race.
-evil grin-
..and I've run against a few different BMW's at the drags.
I haven't lost to one yet.
The lil M3 was close tho.
I expect it will be the same at the roundy-round track.
They're quick compared to 90 percent of the cars out there.
Just not in the same league as a Z-51 C-5, much less the Z06.

Nice ride!

At least someone is having fun. I am still stuck in a 99 caravan and probably will be for awhile

I had a C5 for a couple years....adored it. It was like taking a vacation everytime I drove it. This BMW is quite a ride tho. Fast as the Vette? Nope....But it handles better. It's quick...smooth...and a fun ride. And the gas mileage is really nice. My C5 got great mileage as well. Hard to beat Vettes for most things sporty...but this BMW....Well...it aint far off.
