After the most-recent update of AH, the "field of view" zoom is still broken for external viewing in the film viewer.
You can get around it by going to internal view, toggling on zoom, zooming in or out to what you want, then jumping to external. But as soon as you touch the fov zoom slider in external view, things will jump back to unzoomed and stay that way.
It makes it much harder to set up external shots.
