Graphics adjustments
« on: October 05, 2008, 02:55:03 PM »
All, having a problem where in game, I am getting a lot of streaming polygons (what looks like cloud information) flashing on my display. This is ruining my views and causing me to lose sight of targets, ect. How do I eliminate it to get better visability?

sounds like it might be a driver issue. run the dxdiag, and post the first third here.

Will have to check that. Dxdiag shows no errors. I'm running on a Dell Laptop with the embedded Intel chipset at 96MB memory.

What he means is to press the, "Save All Information..." button, save the file to your desktop, then copy+paste the first 1/3 of the text file here.

graphics card can't handle it
Set to run game at max - 256, but I think you need to go to 128 on video settings.
Look at waffles graphics tips - and also do a search for graphics issues on here, there was a recent posting about a setup close to your setup that skuzzy helped out with.

My work laptop I use on the road is pretty much the same except mine has a dual core. I did get some anomalies in the clouds, and dropping the textures size in the game did help it out a lot.
