Wirbelwind durability - bug or cheat?
« on: October 12, 2008, 05:36:58 PM »
Just several times I made same experience:

to kill Wirbelwind about 5 - 8 hits from tank needed. In my case, I often use T-34/75. I was hitting Wirbelwind from close distance - doesnt matter if it was AP or HVAP - it allways had to get more than 5 hits to be killed.

So where is problem- it uber Wirbelwind armor or underpowered T34 assault gun?

Bug or cheat?
Not many, but much!

Depends on where you hit it. If it "hit" the turret, then either your shot basically "pass through" mostly because the Wirble turret is made of toilet paper. If it hit the chassis, then I'm pretty sure you just had bad luck, any films/screenshots?

the game is concentrated on combat, not on shaking the screen.

Keep in mind the Wirbelwind is just a Panzer IV with a different turret. My guess is you just got unlucky... I almost always kill Wirbelwinds, Ostwinds, and Panzers with one hit from close range.

After you take out the turret move you shots to the body.  You can hit the turret and never kill it.  Body shots are a one hit dead solution.  Don't waste ammo on the turret.
