When I get home i will inspect my old Athlon 2.2GHz CPU, i don't think it is messed up, but it's possible.  If it's in what appears to be working condition I'll let ya know. :aok

Well good news and bad.  Good news is there is no physical damage; bad news is I have no Motherboard to test it on.  Last i used it, it was working fine.  If you want it to try let me know and i can ship it out.
Been trying to get rid of some of these old parts. :D

I have a couple actually, a single core and a dual core... will have to check to see which models they are.

I have a 3700+ Single core with one broken pin.   Original packing and stock heatsink/fan.   It's yours and I'd pay shipping, if you want it and know someone who could solder a pin.   Don't ask me why I've held on to it for 2+ years, but I have.

Is it possible to solder a pin on and make the cpu functional?

Got 2
A 3200 and a 4000
no idea if either work anymore as I was trying ot do the swap when either the CPU, the motherboard, or both died
