Ahh ok I interpreted that post where he described it wrongly.
VisionTek should have something that would work, as it would seem to be a common complaint. I would think anyways. You say they don't though.
The main problem is that you have an add-on power supply intended for high end new video cards, but you have a motherboard and video card that is low end or just old. Doesn't make a lot of sense... I would either lose the add-on and get a half-way decent normal power supply (decent way to go imo, and cheap) to replace the 250w, or upgrade the motherboard/cpu/video/memory to something modern (expensive though).
