A friendly reminder
« on: November 18, 2008, 09:19:30 PM »
For folks who may not have heard this before:

The AvA does not reset if one side captures all the other side's bases.  Instead, the arena becomes unuseable.  This is not something that can be fixed under present circumstances.  Once the arena is porked, it stays porked until a staffer becomes available to come in and set it all up again.  On a smaller map, such as Okinawa, this can become a significant problem.

So:  Please do not try to take all of the other side's bases.  You can take SOME of them, that's fine!  Just not all of them, please.

If you contact the Map CMs they have the ability to make a couple bases you specify unconquerable on the map.  Also I thought Easycor said that if you set ResetAirfieldcnt and ResetTotalfieldcnt to 0 it prevents a reset??  Still causes issues with no bases for one side, but keeps reset from mucking things up even worse.

He also mentioned changing the default map load to your actual setup, so it just actually "resets" but wasn't sure if that was possible in the AvA or not.

The unconquerable base thing though is relatively easy and known to work. <S>
