my long journey
« on: December 08, 2008, 06:07:52 PM »
Today i upped a ki-61 out of a231 100% fuel, flew a little over 100 miles to deack v185.Bailed(i know what a loser) immediately. Flight took about 25 minutes. Then upped a c-47 75% fuel, flew those same 100+ miles. With auto ack down for 45 minutes,I knew it be a race against the clock.Had to climb over 12k to get over last mountain range with only 6 minutes left to go.Climbed over mountain, nose down fast as she would go.Landed at map room took the base with less then 2 minutes to go.  :O Ofcourse we lost the base within 20 minutes but what the heck.

Ive upped long range planes and flown around the entire map. I like the sound of certain engines at 20,000'. P-47Ns and Lancasters come to mind. Ive upped Lancs with full fuel and flown obscenely long missions in them. And the 47N? I love the sound of that turbo-charged R-2800 at 20,000'+. Maybe it sounds weird but its peaceful up in that cartoon air.
