is it possible that since the guy was not new, he recognized you and decided to play a joke on you instead?

Think most missing banshee's point here IF bad pilots are training noobs bad habits its bound to make a new class of flyers with all bad habits.I have known ghost lotta years theres a reason he gives back makes better pilots in game.I spend time in ta also only if theres no trainers and someone ask then if i know what they need and can help I do.  As exp pilots we have an obligation to point out like banshee that poor training is going on or we all to blame as bad pilots take over game.

  Exactly... :aok

It was my urging of Banshee to write a poilte post on this subject, which he did!

I think that the place to start is with the new players, promote fair and competive game play and the rest will look after itself.Too many new players look for help and recieve this sort of help,no offence to the trainers as they cant always be there to monitor things, all of whicjh leads to poor game play.IMHO.

The type of behaviour I saw shouldn't be allowed to go unnoticed and this thread is only about that.
It's up to all of us who love this game to challenge any unwanted behaviour.

Absolutely correct dh, morfiend.

If your not reaching the new guys, your going to have a whole crop of MA pilots who are not interested in skill, acm, etc. Just in the quickest way to HO and go land them.

Its up to us the community to point them in the right direction. Not to put them down, for being new, unskilled, etc. But to lift them up, get them climbing the same slope we have climbed.

He ups a Spit16 at A23 (the Bombing base at 20k) with 100% fuel, a DT, and 2 rockets.  His first advice was to "fire the rockets in a HO position and you will kill the fighters...if I miss with "missiles" use guns...If I miss yet again...RUN!"  Still no useful "training."

I said if you miss with guns, try and ram him. Then run. "no useful training" Ingrate! :furious

That's pretty lame to do.

Part of me says he was deliberately ""training"" to do wrong w/ new guys bu then another part of me says it's a shade that knows you and is pulling your leg.

---

If I am in the TA I am always glad to help others if a trainer isn't present; but I only help them with what I know for sure & differ the rest.

---

Ghosth, you've hit the nail on the head.  I became a CM to give back to the community and I will ask for players to have fun and to spread the word about this great game and nothing else.

In warbirds trainers have wings in their name (ie "="s)

They are easy identified with their callsigns that way, and when they use their winged accounts they are supposed to help at all times
Trainers is allowed an extra account to fly without wings if they want that.

An idea for ah maybe ?
