AVA wednesday night 1/14/08
« on: January 15, 2009, 01:07:14 PM »
Greetings,
Last night the heroic Axis took off in a massive bomber group. the KI-67's were an awesome sight. they were escorted by members of JG54 and the 353's. it was basically a flying armada out to open a can of whoop-butt on the EVIL Allied fighters and targets.

Larry lead the Bombers and VWe directed the fighters to their targets. The entire group headed out to enemy territory.

the resistance the Allied fighters put up was futile at best. Shane got lucky and hit one of Larry's bombers, but it didnt change the course of events. the other fighters picked off a few bombers here and there, but it was nothing less then a dog scratching an itch, they had no affect on the bomber group.

the Axis with superior numbers and better quality fighters delivered a devastating blow by wiping out most of the Anti aircraft factory. the colateral damage from the bombs was mind numbing! the target was taken down with ease.

after the drop we still had a few pesky f4u's to deal with but pretty much outran them. our fighter escorts did a great job beating up on the Allieds that even managed to get close to us.

<S> to all that participated. it was great fun. thanks to larry for putting it all together

luck?  ha. ha.  i worked for it.  and figured that was larry's formation.  you guys were tooling along at a nice clip, not easy to try and pick apart from under.

I'm always right, it just takes some poepl longer to come to that realization than others.

That Peggy is an amazing plane.  I took off in a Tony to try to give the bombers some exit cover.  Rendezvoued with them, Shane made a feint at me which threw me off, so I ended up chasing the formation from its six.  I never did catch those bombers.
