Couple cars with 88's or smaller caliber, doors pop open, surprise!  Adds immersion factor.

Exactly, manned guns or 88's that begin firing when planes are, say, 5000 feet overhead, or very close.  Make it challenging alittle, right now its like shooting carp in a barrel.

I believe the latest patch addressed the perk point reward for trains, though I haven't tested it, anyone else strafed a train in the last 24 hours?

I saw a post somewhere where someone bailed offline by a train to watch it go by and spotted what appeared to be guns on the train.    ;)

Actually, I just did it and there are 2 guns on the train....the first car and the last car have a 4-barrel mount.

Anyone care to share the tactics they use to attack Trains...  I have yet to even see one in the MA..  Are the white lines in the terrain RR tracks or roads ???

Where are the Depots ?
Where do RR Spawn ?
Will strafing take one out or do you need rockets, bombs ?

Inquiring minds need to know

Boot lines are either train tracks or roads....get down low to see which.

Depots are on the clipboard map with a "D" in front of the number.  Trains spawn right at the depot and the head away from the staion towards fields, or strategic emplacments(HQ etc)

The trains can be strafed....rockets work also, but watch you don't get damage from your rocket blast.

I strafed a train in a 109G2 w/gondolas. It took most of my ammo to receive a train destroyed message. Which must have really just been a train car destroyed, because most of the train kept right on going.  I was shot down while trying to return to my base and received about fraction of a perk point. Trains are not worth the effort for perk points, that is for sure.

Just a tip for train killers,,,probably obvious,,,kill the Loco first, then the train just sits there,it's easy to finish it when it is stationary  :)

What does it take to kill the locomotive or cars now? I tried in the TA and the locomotive absorbed over 8 37mm's with no damage visible.
