I am gradually scanning and posting pages from this document that Gatt kindly sent me. This is a translation of the original handboox for the Fw 190A-8, dated 7 December, 1944.

IMO, the most interesting thing with new version will be to put 2 20mm A-8 against 2 20mm A-5. Speed, acceleration, climb, turn, dive etc. Many surprises might come out of that one.

Yeah it will be fun, I will probably be flying "captured equipment" for a while after the A-5 comes to AH.
I'm pretty sure Pyro wouldn't have chosen that variant if he didn't have really good data on it, so I'm looking forward to it.
