~Air Raiders~ has open slots
« on: June 09, 2009, 09:42:29 AM »
Air Raiders fighter squadron has a couple of slots open.  It is the goal of the AIR RAIDERS Fighter Squadron to promote teamwork, integrity and camaraderie among its members, while providing a fun and challenging atmosphere which will help our members to improve their skills and abilities according to their personal interests as they relate to the Aces High. Our purpose is to have fun, engender respect among the Aces High Community in the way that we fly and treat others, and to help our members broaden and sharpen their skills to make Aces High a more enjoyable experience.

You must be over 18 years of age, and beyond the two-week free trial period for Aces High; be willing to fly and fight as part of a team; and be respectful of others playing the game.  We are currently flying Knights on our regular squad night: Sunday night at 8:00 p.m. central in either of the late war arenas.  We also participate in FSO on Friday nights at 10:00 p.m. central in the special events arena.  Squad voice comms are on channel 190.  If you are interested, I invite you to come fly a two-week trial with us.  Or just send me a personal message here on the forums.

Hi, Discobud here,

I go by Disco had have been an Air Raider for a few years now. TxMOM recruited me and I've enjoyed every moment since. I can tell you that the men and women that make up this squad are terrific people. We are very diverse featuring working professionals, aviation enthusiasts, car nuts and a few people currently on military active duty. Some of our squad members have recently been deployed to Iraq. They're sorely missed by us and we're proud to have them in our group and look forward to having them fly with us again. We wish them God's speed and a speedy trip home.

This is a great squadron. On squad nights (Sunday evening) we try various missions. GV base capture, fighter sweeps, buff runs, NOE runs, CV actions. Once in a while we have squad competitions like "Fox Hunt", Jeep relay races and more. There's a lot to do.

As a mature member squadron, over 18, we're pretty relaxed and don't get caught up in silly/foolish things. We just like to fly, strategize and even attempt to follow the plan sometimes. LOL. I really like the respect we give each other and I would introduce anyone in this squadron as "my friend".

So come join us and see what you think.
