Hawker41

A big thanks to Hawker41 for his assistance yesterday.

Yesterday Hawk killed me several times in his FM2.  I couldn't figure out how he was doing it, so I took and chance and PMed him and ask if I could do a ride-a-long.  He readily accepted so I switched to rooks and joined in.  He figured I was not using my rudder enough, so he demonstrated the use of the rudder in various turns.

After the ride-a-long I upped a plane and flew wing with him, and all of a sudden many things suddenly came together.  It will still take some work to get it right, but now I understand what I wasn't doing.

Thanks to Hawk, who didn't have a clue to who I was, but he readily helped someone who asked for assistance.

By the way I got a couple of kills on my own squaddies while flying rook.  Sorry squaddies.   :o

That's what we are talking about with the mega squads. You have a good squad you enjoy flying with, most likely have some good sticks as well, but here you take some initiative and hooked up with one of the "fighter types" and in showing you a couple of those "fighter type" things has now given you a shot at more enjoyment of the game..... well except for shooting down a couple of squadies  :D

Thats what most of us fighter types want. People who want to learn to get better. Not hide inside the protection of a mega squad. Come on out, learn new tricks, have MORE fun !!! That's what the games all about!!

Congrats to the both of you! Fred for looking for more than the same old thing, and Hawker14 for taking the time to spread the knowledge !
