FSO is designed to distribute about half of the workload among the players in FSO, by use of CiC's. These CiC's are responsible for specific orders for their side, plane usage by squads, making sure all targets are attacked by T+60, and vectoring squads to other targets during the event
I can see that you don't want defenders to fly around the whole frame and have the attackers come in at the last minute but sometimes its kinda hard to meet this 60min rule when flying some planes on these large maps. Last week 353rd were given B17s and told to attack a target about 160 miles away from our take off base. We climbed to 20k and throttled back to keep a tight formation, but half way to the target we noticed we wouldn't make it in time. The bomber lead altered course and told us to go full throttle so we would make it to target before T+60. Because we had to run all out our formation was scattered, so when we did run into the enemy they didn't have a problem picking us off one by one. We made it to target at around T+63 but many of us died before we were even able to drop ord.
What I was wondering was, would it be possible to extend that deadline to maybe T+75 if that target is getting hit by bomber formations, but keep it T+60 for fighter/attack planes since they are a lot faster. This way bomber pilots can run at "Normal" power setting too keep a tight formation but at the same time are able to meet the dead line.
