On the brink of 35 here (this Friday).

Started getting the checks, early.  Grandfather had problems, so I figured why wait if it can be found early.

I only had one thing that I told the doc after he put on the latex gloves..............

"There had better be only ONE hand on my shoulder when you do what you are about to do!"

hello everyone,
this is nancy barr. mike (maverick) came thru surgery fine yesterday. he's had a walk around today and says he feels surprising better than he expected today. thanks from both of us for your thoughts and prayers.

I'm back "home" now in our RV. I can't stay at the computer chair very long but otherwise getting better. Little pain but kind of uncomfortable due to a couple hoses sticking out of me. One will be there for a couple weeks. It's a catheter and kind of  sensitive. The other drain at the surgical site will come out Monday. It's just awkward to deal with.

I'll write more wen it's more comfy to sit at the computer. The staples at the incision just itch like mad when I sit up in the chair. Reclining is more comfy..

For all those bothered by the rectal exam just make sure the doc does not have both of his hands on your shoulders and you will be fine.

Just got back from the doc's office. The drain is out so one thing hanging off of me is gone. I won't miss that little bastage. The pathology report is in too. There was more cancer in the prostate than anticipated as it was on both sides. It was fully encapsulated so there was no spread. I should be fully cured at this time. No chemo or radiation needed. That's a load off of my mind there. Next Tuesday the 29th the catheter and I believe staples all come out.  :x

Right now I have so many staples in me that I'd drive the airport metal detector to drink.  :D
