I have a scanner that will scan books very well. It is a rather small scanner so the page you are trying to scan will lay flat while the other part of the book hangs off the side. Then i just drop a towel over it to keep outside light from comming in and bingo.

Thanks Mitsu.  Are the Maru Mechanics still in print?  I thought they went out of print a long time ago.  I have to buy them used and I'd be interested in getting them new.
