Cable Management Part II
« on: July 29, 2009, 03:47:46 PM »
So, being unemployed for the last few months has allowed me to catch up on projects around the house.   But none was more fun than this last one.

At the start of, the PC looked like this.

But now I've gone the steps further than my buddy who helped me build this, was willing to go.   I am happier now I've taken an hour to clean it up.

Temperatures have dropped 3 degrees (Cores) because of the MB cable, SATA power and PCI-e power cable being out of the way.

Only two things I'll do is get:

1.) 6" Black SATA II    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812123277  Will this work for my Raptor X (SATA not SATA II like the cable.   Or are these backwards compatible?)

2.) 24"  Round Black IDE cable, instead of the 18" to hide behind the Drive bays.   I messed up when I bought it originally, page refreshed and chose 18" (default), from another website.

This will tide me over until I can send this down to TilDeath and have everything (prolly a Vendetta 2) swapped into an NZXT Tempest.  BUT, I haven't seen too many X-Cruisers look like this.   The bite in the ass, is the support bar (I'm tempted to cut it though) forcing all wires South of it.

Looks nice!

Wondering if I should swap to an nxtz case for my gaming computer?

Yeah, I'm unemployed too! Caught up on many projects and my main concern now is passing the cpa exam.

Holy crap! Started to order the Tempest case and it was $32 for shipping along with a couple of cables. I said no-way and canceled the order.
