I think most poeple are getting stutters in one way or another, I get them no matter what settings I use. They get better the longer Im in game.

Software related, yes. But on which end?  I have a squaddie, has a 4ish year old machine, 5 series GEforce card and runs XP. I have a 1 year old machine, 8500gt card and vista.  He runs as good or better fps @ 1680x1050, than I do at 1024x768.   Makes ya go HUH??    We are running the exact same settings on our cards, and in game with the exception of resolution.  My frame rates you ask, anywhere from high 30's to 75. I'll stay.  For those saying they will leave, give it a chance first before you do, it may just all work out fine in time.
