WSOD since patch 3
« on: August 01, 2009, 05:29:28 PM »
keep getting WSOD since patch 3. nothing obvious ingame triggering it, and didnt happen with the previous patches. not sure how to save the debug info as the windows dialog box doesnt allow ctrl-C, and the report is a temp file which disappears after dismissing the dialog   (I'm rolling my eyes at MS btw)

dxdiag extract (got all of if it helps):

Im not getting WSOD but I am getting white screens intermittently. I thought this was related to Spybot S&D but I took it out of the system tray and it stopped but now after every dogfight I see it again.
If you like the Sick Puppy Custom Sound Pack the please consider contributing for future updates by sending a months dues to Hitech Creations for account "Chalenge." Every little bit helps.

sorry its not strictly a WSOD, but exits to a white screen with this (except with aceshigh.exe ofc)

happened every login since patch 3, except the last one - managed a coupla hours without a crash. I'll keep an eye on it.

Been getting that when changing arenas alot. Game quits with the WSOD then I restart it and everything is fine.  Only real difference from Holmes's setup would be my CPU a P4 3.2Ghz single core and I have a 7300gt card with the 186.18 drivers.

just to be clear, its not strictly a WSOD (the entire OS crashes with these and needs a hard reboot), its a CTD (crash to desktop) as its the application crashing, not the OS :)

I'm starting to see references to WSOD all over, what have I started :uhoh

1. Is it only when you change aranas and then play for a While? I.E. if you just go into 1 arena does it happen?
2. Is it only in a specific terrain?

Ive only been into LWO since 2.14, happens anywhere from a couple of minutes to 30mins into the session, and seems to be when theres quite a few players around. generally with a couple of kills in the bag, but thats just murphy's law . although it also happened 3mins in, sitting in the tower, so hard to tell what triggers it.

btw the new terrains look fantastic from alt, and CV groups likewise from a cruisers 8" guns :aok

Mine happen when changing arenas. I don't even get into the game and it crashes. Restart AHII and it works fine til I go to change arenas again. LW,EW,MW map doesn't seem to matter.
My OS is not crashing just the game goes white and I get that little MS window telling me it needs to shut down.
I have not been able to duplicate it today.
Just to be clear. I play for a bit in one arena then change and pow it crashes.
