I know I got the Lanc off the ground the 1st time I flew it online. Now I can to do anything more than crawl down a runway. I've set fuel to 25%, spool up engines with brakes on, tried rolling with 1 notch flaps, no flaps, cutting in flaps at V2...nothing moves this plane faster than a walk.

What gives?

I think HTC might have screwed up by not throwing down an extra 1,200 feet of runway when they stuck the Lanc in here. Regardless of the load its always been a pain to get off the ground. No, it doesn't spawn with brakes set. But I do think it spawns with an anchor some Navy dufus welded to the tail. All I can tell you is to run off the runway until the speed hits 140mph, then yarf it off the ground. It'll be a huge handfull until speed builds, and once that happens hit Alt-X to stick it in auto-climb.

There are some posts to help with Lanc takeoffs in the Help forum.

Summary:
-Raise flaps before you roll
-hold brakes on while throttling up, release brakes when engines at full power
-lift tail at 120mph
-drop 1-2 flaps as you near end of runway
-be gentle and pull back (I personally trim it nose high to get it off the ground).

Flak hit it on the nose, use the brakes :-) full throttle do not use more then 25% fuel, and I hate this X-36 with a passion.  Going back to the Precision Pro tonight if the next cure doesn't work.

I find the brake-stand to be a real help.

In addition, I force the tail off the ground as soon as it can - might be my imagination, but I feel it accelerates faster on just the mains.

As soon as I get to the end of the runway, I ease back on the stick and hit the gear toggle as soon as I see the alt needle move.

Once I have positive climb, I pull in the flaps a notch, compensating for any tendancy to drop, repeating until I have the Lanc clean.  After that, it's a matter of getting to climbspeed and letting Otto take over.

Sach - what problem is still occuring with your X36?

Cheers
