Invincible Keyboard Drivers

I picked up a new computer (See link #1) when the NVIDIA card went out on my laptop.
The only issue I'm having with it is Keyboard mappings being screwed up in Aces High. After replacing the keyboard and still having the issue, I uninstalled the 3 items highlighted in Picture 1 and the problem is gone. The new problem is, these items get reinstalled each time the computer starts. I went through and deleted all the driver files shown in Picture 2, and the driver files show back up, and those 3 items reappear on the next startup. Does anyone have an idea on how I can completely remove these, or at least disable them from loading on startup? If no one can think of anything, I have the free upgrade to 7 coming in a few weeks, so I hope the same issue won't occur with that.

Those drivers are built into Windows. What kind of keyboard do you have and is it plugged into the same USB hub as your joystick?

I just have a Dynex multimedia keyboard. It's plugged into the back of my computer and the joystick into the front

Somehow your not getting the right drivers loaded or those items wouldn't pop back each reboot.

Frankly I wouldn't bet on the upgrade working. If you've missed a step with this OS chances are your going to miss it again.

I'd either reinstall the drivers for those items, or switch to a keyboard that needs no drivers.

Those drivers are nothing more than the built in windows default drivers that Microstupid decided they should put into their OS to identify hardware that otherwise would require a separate driver...not gonna go away.

Dynex makes some truly bad hardware...worse than Kensington for generic junk...that keyboard probably isn't "Vista compatible" in some highly obscure manner...  :huh  What kind of mouse are you using and is it plugged into a USB slot next to your keyboard?

Where that keyboard is plugged into the back of your computer...is it plugged into one of the USB slots closest to the top of your case? If not move it there, if it is, move it to another USB slot. Then copy your keyboard configuration file out of the settings folder in AH. Then open AH.

See what happens.

Ok I'll try that. I'll make a note that the same things was happening with the keyboard that came with it, a PS/2 keyboard.

Ok, got it. It was the stupid windows remote watchamacallit. I was using it since my computer is my TV. I unplugged it to move the keyboard up a slot. Those 3 disappeared. Plugged it back in they're back. Unplug they're gone. The watchamacallit is now in a drawer. Thanks for the help.

Yeah, the windows media center remote thing. It's nice to not have to get out of bed in the morning to change channels.
