After much wasted time(been 14 years since High School) and pretty much not knowing what to do with the rest of my life I have decided to get back into school. Will be beginning Colorado Technical University's Online program to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology starting the middle of next month. Question for those vet's out there..... Those of you currently/thinking about going to school eligible for the G.I. Bill as well as the post 9-11 option, have you thought about which one is best suited for you or which did you choose and why? Having less than 36 months but more than 30 on active duty after sep 11th '01 I opted for the post 9-11 bill just based off of a possibility of getting 90-100% as well as the money goes directly to the school( so I don't run the risk of spending it as opposed to paying for education) Thank goodness my employer has a great program in place to assist those of us who want to pursue continuing education just in case I don't receive 100%.
Just was curious as to what your thoughts are. I did my research on both the VA's website and spoke with the Financial Aid advisor, but wanted to hear what you all had to say as well. Also With traveling more than 330 days out of the year and out of the country for work it's going to be tough as nails, but have to stick with it.
