C47's to defend bases ???????

I don't know if that was discussed before but I found out that when an enemy goon is about to drop on your base, if you spawn in a c47 and drop your own troops immediately on the runway it prevents the base from being taken...
This is so unfair and unrealistic...I 'm sorry for the guys trying to take F3 tonight ,I was just trying out this trick, just out of "scientific curiosity".
If that's really working it could kill the game.

Hope this won't be possible in the next release (maybe by having a low level limit to drop paras like 800 ft or something.)

Maybe I'm wrong and someone else killed the enemy troops but it seemed to me that everytime I did that lame trick , the base was not taken ...
IF that's so then sorry about that,never meant to cheat knits...Just wanted to check that out.

I guess it all depends on how you look at it.  If you time the release of your troops, it can prevent the capture.  The troopers line up to enter the base, and if one of your troops gets into the middle of thier line it knocks the counter back by 1.
That trick is a pain in the arse, but if you were able to do that it means the vulch wasn't tight enough or organized enough.

I guess you could look at it like the drunks duking it out in the map room =)

The only time I've seen this attempted, the 47 was dead so fast he was only able to release 2 troops... both killed in the spray of bullits directed at the 47.

This was with 2 people Vulching the field.

If a 47 successfully defends using this method either you didn't have adequate fighter escort or you were attempting to sneak and got caught at the last instant.  Either way, you deserved to get stopped.

It is me at f16 with c-47 I try befor 5 fighthers but couldn't even get up from field
then I saw b-26 with c-45(bish) so I did it
3 times apprx the fisrt did work well but the others ha ha ha ha as soon as thec-47
appered on the runaway BABOOM .

Those bish did a good job of CAPING that field and we (me and my teammate with a fighter) did our job as long as possible to permit other teammates to work at the same time at an other mission  

We did compleat our mission assined to us
like we have been order to do so I am please.

This is a tactic offer to us by the"server"
frankly it would be beter if that would be
fix ASAP by AH.

This next version of AH is adding the ability to "close" airbases.  Bombing parts of the base (probably the hangers) will prevent you from spawning there.

No C-47....no paratrooper counter attack.
