basic FSO conduct / communication
« on: October 17, 2009, 12:26:15 AM »
You know, even if you have a "problem" with someone in FSO or AH you should still do your job as a CO of your squad.

I personally don't think you have the right to say "I am not going to talk to that person, because I don't like him." As long as his communication is official and regarding matters that pertain to FSO (like, course, speed, and path to target) then you are obligated to communicate with him, regardless if you like him or not.

When you are working with other squads, they are depending on you. Your personal feelings towards a squads CO are not part of the equation.

If you are a squad CO and you refuse to communicate with another squad leader because "you don't like him." you need to SERIOUSLY consider stepping down as CO. Because you are NOT doing your job correctly. You are letting your personal feelings interfere with your duties.

THAT IS NOT RIGHT.

Please note, I mentioned no names, and pointed NO fingers. Those involved know who they are.

I think all you have to do is look at #1 objects destroyed (2 weeks in a row, and top kills a week before that) to see whose squad CO was doing their job. You are talking about the Nightmares, and we were not ignoring anyone. Just because our CO had you squelched, doesn't mean we were not communicating. And please...if you are going to quote someone, please make sure you dont make stuff up. Please produce the film, screen shot, PM, Post, or email where those quotes were said.

We will continue to kick bellybutton in each FSO we're in. I think almost everyone can attest to the way the Nightmares conduct themselves during FSOs. We are very inclusive to everyone. We always try our best to accomplish our objectives, and we stress teamwork both in and out of the squad. We are frankly one of the most successful FSO squadrons out there and that is mainly due to our CO's planning and leadership.

Gentlemen,

As the admin CiC for this event please contact me over any issues so that I may look into them. Please do not read more into this as was originally written.

The original complaint was about about a CO not communicating with another. I am looking into this and request that both parties send me films, screen shots and an email about the situations that I can evaluate things and as a neutral party who designed and administered the event can see what happened.

I do not read from what was written a comment about a squad not doing its job or the quality of its past or present performance. I  also do not see see anybody being quoted here. I see a person using quotes in a grammatical context and not in a quote context.

This situation involves two people now and myself.

Sled,
I was told that our flight leader was in contact with you. We trade this duty around. Courius if he did his job in your oppinion? If not we will handle that.

Had we been attacking valid targets with a deffence I think communication with escorts would have been higher on MY list of priorities. The one time you called me by name I was helping a nonpracticing squaddie with calibration.
When he said bombs out, you said that the bombers were on their own. I left it at that. After all, we were just waisting our time anyway.

As for the constant chatter in the tower before the frame concerning route and coverage: Room cuts into squad and makes it hard to manage squad affairs. Was hard to get a word in on either channel. That is why I brought up the validity of the targets in room text. It went unanswered. I rarely use vox even within my squad. I text to make myself perfectly clear. Guess I didn't type loud enough :(

I was not withing range vox of Hardliqr(my flight CO) for most of the attack run. I started out just asking how he did. Then my rambleling began. My appologies.

I have all of that, but will not be airing it here.

BTW I didn't quote anyone, in my first post.
